Danylo's experience was awesome! He is very knowledgeable and breaks everything down into easy to understand concepts that build upon each other. The team and I enjoyed it as well as learned something. He had a great balance of inspiring instruction through a well thought story and hands-on interaction. We have enjoyed sharing our photos after the event, and Danylo has taken the time to comment on each one to provide further ideas for exploration! I would definitely recommend this experience!

Danylo hosted a private session for a team of 20+ and we all absolutely loved it! His approach and demeanor is excellent. He made everyone feel welcome, had the right balance of content vs practical application and clearly knows his stuff. He even took the time to comment on photos added to the album after the session.

Our small team of 6 people booked this event as a remote team experience and we enjoyed it a lot. Danylo is super knowledgeable and a great instructor who has made this experience very memorable. We went through some theoretical basics that he underlined with his real-world examples first before we put it into practice with a lot of fun and skillful guidance by Danylo. I definitely learned a couple hacks that I will be applying in my daily smartphone photography in the post-covid world. If you have limited time and want to learn something while bonding with your team or friends virtually, this event absolutely is the right fit for you. It was also very cool to see everyone’s results afterwards which gave us more to talk about in our team meetings the days and weeks after! I could not recommend Danylo and this event more!

We booked a private experience with Danylo for a corporate team of ~20, from a mix of functions (predominately engineering). There is a range of creative capabilities within the team but everyone had a really great time! Danylo is very charismatic and the hour flew by. It's a fun, relaxed, approachable vibe that let everyone unleash a bit of creativity, without pressure. Would definitely recommend as a virtual team experience.

Danylo's class is fantastic! We set up a private class as a virtual team bonding exercise and everyone had a great time. Danylo's photography class is always a great time. I've booked it three times now for small corporate groups and each time it's a hit. People left with newfound photography skills and some cool shots to show off. Danylo was easy to work with and set this up. Would definitely recommend and book again. Thanks again, Danylo!

It was a fun and learning experience! If you consider having a good time with your friends, family or coworkers, or even by yourself, I highly recommend it! How does your team click?

The mobile photography workshops by ‘Smartphones Are Not For Calling’ are thoughtfully designed to include a variety of engaging moments such as: storytelling, brainstorming, creative decision making, confidence building tips.

And there are several segments where team members are asked to share specific tidbits of information about themselves (e.g., what's their favorite subject to photograph or dream destination to collect photo memories).

Team interaction also takes place in the meeting chat, where remote attendees connect and exchange messages with each other as they practice taking photos. Some chat comments are real gems! Someone once called it “camera-derie,” and it perfectly captures the blend of photography and team spirit.

The best part? Even after virtual meetings are over, the team spirit lives on!

As the group session wraps up, a host encourages everyone to share their top photos from the event in a private online album. It's a comfortable space to continue learning and growing together. Attendees love joining the album to reflect on the session's highlights, share positive reactions, receive insightful feedback, and get answers to any lingering questions.

Each team's shared album remains active for an unlimited period of time, ensuring ongoing, on-demand support for any smartphone photography challenges that may arise in the future.

Hi, I’m your host, Danylo. Nice to e-meet you!

I am a self-taught smartphone photographer who finds joy in adding a twist to the ordinary.

If you’d look into my camera roll, you’ll find a myriad of takes on intriguing urban gems, inspiring places, and humans I was fortunate to meet along the way.

And I've been drawn to the power of photography to tell stories from the days of flip phones with buttons (remember those?). This passion for visual storytelling has been recognized by the prestigious International Photography Awards (IPA), iPhone Photography Awards, and Minimalist Photography Awards.

I've also had the privilege of working for companies like Meta, Publicis, and Havas, where I've helped brainstorm creative ideas and bring them to life.

But what truly excites me is the opportunity to connect people through shared experiences.

For years, I've led the most-reviewed photography workshop on Airbnb Experiences in Berlin, Germany. And since 2020, I’m bringing teams from around the world together online to collaborate, learn, and create through my inspiring mobile photography workshops.

So if you're looking to foster a spirit of creativity within your team, I invite you to explore my offerings.
